If character B doesn't escape the situation in a believable way that's consistent with previous events, then that emotional investment is gone. If you have character A who's so much above character B, who's the main character, you're gonna be left wondering how in the hell character B, the character we're supposed to care and root for, is going to escape the situation or overcome the odds. People who care about them (well, people who care about them in a narrative) don't care about the big numbers or the fancy explosions. Power levels establish tension and drama. wrote:I've explained before, I'll just paraphrase myself. Hell Buu being released could also be pegged on Goku for not going SSJ3 and putting Vegeta in his place.ĭoctor. Yeah Vegeta made a bad decision in the long run but does that make him the most unintelligible in this arc? Hell no, Goku has displayed far more questionable sense. Majin Buu at half power would still be within Goku's league, if he would have been released to begin with >_>. All of this could have been avoided had they let Vegeta blow up the ship. I'd be pissed if I were Vegeta too if some guy decided to make something very simple into a complete mess. He is also only complaining because that dip shit Kaioshin had to jack everything up. He just wants to fight Kakarot and beat him, that's it. Honestly I fail to see how Vegeta is as whiny as some people peg him to be. The proper term is Anti-hero not whiny cunt.

You know what would have been a non-stupid idea? "Oh, I can just fight Kakarot in fifteen minutes, after we kill all these guys". The fact that Vegeta willingly sacrificed his own life to atone for his retarded decision shows he regretted it and wanted to make up for it. That doesn't somehow make it not a stupid decision. Vegeta's selfishness played a key part in making a stupid decision.

Vegeta had settled down, and been a peaceful citizen of Earth for seven years. Zephyr wrote:Cell was attempting to blow up the planet because he was still a direct antagonist. And in the end, he had to get involved anyway, so it was all for nothing. But no, Goku decides to leave the fate of the universe in the hands of his idiotic son and his son's equally idiotic best friend. Roshi didn't endanger the universe when he did it. There are other ways to let the next generation take over. Goku, however, let all this happen in the first place. And he ended up getting himself absorbed and leading to his brother getting thrashed. Gotenks dragged out the fight with Buu to make it look cooler when he won. The dumbest character would have to be either Gotenks or Goku. Side note, but I really do think Kaioshin was wasted potential, a potentially interesting character discarded to wank the Saiyans some more. Like Imperfect Cell before him, he ran rings around the idiot "heroes". Which was why he was such a delightful villain. The only smart one in this saga was Super Buu.

But nowhere near the dumbest in that saga. RandomGuy96 wrote:Kaioshin's pretty dumb no doubt.
